Setting Languages and Translators
The language of a site is defined in its virtual host object. This is both Glasnost's interface language, and the default language of the site's content.
The administrators of translations can define [1] translators (people or groups of people) from some language A to another language B. When this is done, Glasnost's interface and the site's content become available in languages A or B depending on the browser's language preferences or the URL used.
Example
The language of the glasnost.entrouvert.org virtual host is French. Glasnost's interface in that site is only available in French, and the site is available at:
http://glasnost.entrouvert.org/
When translators from French to English are defined, translated content and Glasnost's interface become available in French or in English [2] :
http://glasnost.entrouvert.org/en/ http://glasnost.entrouvert.org/fr/
or at
http://glasnost.entrouvert.org/
in either French or English depending on the browser's language preferences.
